3. User Accounts

To use our services, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

• You will notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
• You are responsible for all activities under your account

4. Bookings and Payments

4.1 Booking Process

When you make a booking through The Long Weekend, you enter into a direct agreement with the property owner. We facilitate the booking process but are not a party to this agreement.

4.2 Payment Terms

• All payments are processed securely through our third-party payment processor
• Prices are displayed in Australian Dollars (AUD) unless otherwise specified
• Payment is required at the time of booking confirmation
• You authorize us to charge your payment method for all fees

4.3 Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation policies are determined by individual property owners. Please review the specific cancellation policy for each property before booking. Refunds, if applicable, are subject to the property owner's policy and may take 5-10 business days to process.

5. Liability Disclaimer

5.1 No Liability for Property Stays

The Long Weekend acts solely as a platform connecting guests with property owners. We:

• Do not own, operate, manage, or control any properties listed on our platform
• Are not responsible for the condition, safety, or legality of any property
• Make no representations or warranties regarding any property or property owner
• Are not liable for any injury, damage, or loss that occurs during your stay
• Do not guarantee the accuracy of property listings or descriptions

5.2 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• The Long Weekend is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• We are not responsible for disputes between guests and property owners
• We do not guarantee the availability, quality, or safety of any property
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount of fees paid by you for the specific booking
• We are not liable for any third-party actions or services

5.3 Guest Responsibilities

As a guest, you acknowledge that:

• You use the platform and stay at properties at your own risk
• You are responsible for your own safety and the safety of your belongings
• You should inspect properties upon arrival and report any issues immediately to the property owner
• You should obtain appropriate travel and health insurance
• You will comply with all property rules, local laws, and regulations

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe on the rights of others
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
• Interfere with or disrupt the platform or servers
• Attempt to circumvent our fees or payment processes
• Use the platform for unauthorized commercial purposes
• Harass, threaten, or harm other users
• Use automated systems to access the platform without permission

7. Property Owner Obligations

Property owners must:

• Provide accurate property descriptions and photos
• Ensure properties comply with local laws and regulations
• Maintain properties in a safe and habitable condition
• Honor confirmed bookings
• Respond promptly to guest inquiries and issues
• Clearly communicate house rules and policies

8. Intellectual Property

All content on The Long Weekend, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

9. Third-Party Services

Our platform integrates with third-party services (e.g., payment processors, mapping services). We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or reliability of these services. Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and conditions.

10. Privacy

Your use of our platform is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

11. Dispute Resolution

If you have a dispute with a property owner or another user, you agree to resolve it directly with that party. We may provide assistance at our discretion but are under no obligation to do so.

Any disputes between you and The Long Weekend shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with Australian law, unless prohibited by applicable law.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the platform will immediately cease.
